The Process

Every customer should understand how their prescription is filled and the efficiency and care exemplified with every order we fill. At Atkinson's Pharmacy, our system is state-of-the-art. When your doctor's office faxes us a prescription request, it instantaneously becomes a digital image that's entered into your patient chart. Next, we place the order and screen it against your chart for allergies, interactions, contradictions and precautions. Your medication goes through multiple phases of quality assurance, scanning and verification, both before it leaves the premises and when it arrives to you, our customer.

Expedited Orders

We understand that sometimes our customers have an urgent need for their medication. That's why whenever our customers call us asking for an expedited order, our pharmacist will divert your order and fill it at once with the same accuracy and attention to detail as our standard process. If your order requires immediate delivery, we will send it right away.

Special Services

At Atkinson's Pharmacy, we ensure our customers and their medical providers never have to place a specialty order from out of town. I.V. preparation and compounds are prepared in our 797-compliant, clean room where we have the ability and expertise to provide sterile preparations with same-day service. Orders like compounded eye drops, wound care irrigation solutions and unusual I.V. solutions don't faze us. We are committed to keeping the necessary staff and equipment on hand to fill whatever your needs may be.

In-House Customer Service and Billing Departments

We believe that it is important to our customers and their medical providers to have one point of contact. If you have questions about a drug, our service or something on your bill, you only need to call one phone number. We know we provide better service by maintaining and open dialogue between all our departments. This is just one reason why our office structure makes answering your questions and explaining any changes, quick and easy.

From Our “Cabinet” to Your Cart

Atkinson’s can provide your medical care provider with a Med Cart that takes the guesswork out of dispensing medications. Our Med Carts have a touch screen computer interface that maintains each patient's pharmacy orders in electronic form. Because only the medications and treatments that are due to medpass show on the patient's screen, your medication is handled with increased accuracy, efficiency and accountability.
